A practical way to make the most of your home’s potential is to turn an unused basement into a finished living space. A remodeled basement can offer a personalized space for activities like a home gym, game room, or bar area, allowing you and your family to enjoy recreational time without leaving the comfort of your home.
Southern Heritage can help you design and complete a full or partial basement renovation or remodel. These projects can be as simple as finishing the space and as complex as building in a bathroom or installing custom features.
Luxury and craftsmanship
This basement renovation includes a large custom kitchen, knotty alder custom trim, a wood fireplace adorned with stone veneer, and resilient luxury vinyl flooring. The custom carpentry work included knotty alder faux beams, corrugated metal wainscoting, and a double barn door. A laundry room addition was also integrated into this basement renovation, which combines elements of luxury, craftsmanship, and functionality to create a space that is both inviting and visually appealing.
Spacious and Custom
This basement finish features a beautiful set of built-in shelves to showcase the homeowner's book collection. Rustic knotty alder wood was stained and used for both the doors and trim work. An additional bedroom and custom tile bathroom were also built for this spacious walk-out basement.

Style and Functionality
In the picture that follows, you will find another style of basement project. One thing in particular about this basement kitchen is that it does not have a range (oven) underneath the vent hood. That is because there is a zoning stipulation that only allows a kitchen range in the basement if it is not being rented out. Otherwise, a range can be installed. This particular client is renting it out, but they wanted the option to change that in the future. That is why this kitchen needs to be highlighted for someone with an eye for those details.
Planning for Comfort
We're happy to take your outdated or unfinished basement and make it a place to enjoy. Not only does renovating or remodeling your basement add value to your home, but it can also double your livable area.
In this wet bar, colors and textures flow together. The wavy floor tile, glass backsplash, rustic cabinets, and granite countertop create a sophisticated look. Meanwhile, the mini fridge has different temperature zones that are needed to keep the various wines and soft drinks at the best temperature, adding much-needed functionality.
